Isango Ensemble is a South African theater company that draws its artists from the townships surrounding Cape Town. For their UMS School Day Performance debut, they present their production of The Magic Flute, which features Mozart’s score transcribed for an orchestra of marimbas, and tells the enchanting story of Prince Tamino in his quest to rescue Pamina, the daughter of the Queen of the Night. The ensemble is known for its high-spirited, kinetic, and creative productions that fuse incredible music, singing, and dance.
